It's Good Business!

Equal access provides:

  • Opportunities for communities to adapt to the needs of their ever changing demographics
  • Opportunities for communities to serve the interests of ALL of their residents
  • Varied business opportunities that serve and are friendly to people of ALL ages and capabilities
  • An expanded customer base for businesses

Livable Communities

The goal of Westchester County's award-winning "Livable Communities Initiative: A Vision for All Ages - Bringing People and Places Together" is to help seniors remain in their homes as they grow older with independence, dignity and civic engagement. Livable Communities are also friendly to people of all ages.

Finding Accessible Transportation

When making travel plans within the United States or abroad, if you are a person with a disability, it is helpful to know the level of accessibility one can expect. Easter Seals Project ACTION offers resources to assist travelers with disabilities in finding accessible transportation services.
